About Mobile Banking Service
Rupali Bank, among all the state-owned banks is the first to provide Mobile Financial Service (MFS) in the country. The Bank is providing mobile banking service under the brand name “Rupali Bank Surecash” since 2016.
Just after launching the MFS operation, it got the opportunity to disburse the Primary Education Stipend, one of the privileged projects of the honorable Prime Minister. The Bank successfully disbursed the stipend to the beneficiaries through the MFS for last few years signing MoU with the ministry of Primary and Mass Education. The MFS also created a strong base of more than one crore customers through the activity of PESP (Primary Education Stipend Project). It also plays a great role in financial inclusion of marginal people of the country. At the same time 1.25 lac sugarcane farmers of 15 Sugar mills under the authority of Bangladesh food and sugar Industries Corporation received their payments and subsidies through the Mobile Financial Service.
Different Government disbursements like aid to the poor and helpless laborers by Bangladesh Ministry of Labour, aid to Lactating mothers and many other aids under the umbrella of the Govt.’s safety net project are being disbursed by through the MFS Besides there is also allocation of utility bill payment of WASA, DESCO, Karnophully Gas Distribution Company, DPDC and BTCL etc through the MFS of the bank
The Mobile Banking is dealing with more than 1200 schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions in realizing various fee and charges from their students. Many business firms like insurance, NBFI, Service providing entities are using the MFS to pay salaries and allowances to their employees and collecting their bills and dues from their customers.
Presently the mobile financial service is in operation with more than 200 distributors and nearly 1.5 lac agents around the country. The Mobile Banking Division is working relentlessly to make the bank’s MFS the most trusted tool of cashless financial solution.
